Sure, in the old show, each crem members rank was worn on their sleeve.
Low ranking ensigns, crew men, and dudes about to get disintegrated had no stripes.
Junior Grade Lieutenants had a single dotted stripe.[link]
Senior Lieutenants like Uhura and Sulu wore a single solid braided stripe. [link]
Lieutenant Commanders like Scotty and Bones had a dotted stripe and a braided stripe. [link]
