I remember seeing you two go up on stage for the Masquerade
The second you two were on stage I started fangirling in my seat going "OH MY GOD! BERSERK!!!" None of my friends new what I was talking about though.... You both did a FANTASTIC job on your costumes

Hey no problem! And just be because I'm dying to know, what materials did you use for your armor and weapons and how did you go about making them?

all armor parts are made of craft foam and sealed with wood glue and modge podge. Caska's sword is made of wood and the dragon slayer is cardboard. It was all pretty much trial and error so I have no accurate set of directions >.<

Awesome stuff, only slight problem is size, in the manga Guts is way taller than Caska. But other than that I love it. Hope to see more of you as Caska.

yeah, we realized our heights were not perfect, and I was wearing 2 inch heels so I guess that didn't help lol but thanks for the comment

He used a giant piece of cardboard which he cut up to make the blade, and packing paper to create the texture on it.

He does indeed have the helmet and even put red EL wire in the eyes to make them glow at night. If you go to his deviant art profile I believe he has a pic with the helmet on

A very well done caska. Guts' armor looks a little gaudier than i remember though. Of course this series was never finished. To my knowledge at least.

True, the look of the armor does change, but otherwise this is an accurate recreation of the images in the manga and you're right, the series hasn't finished yet, it's been going for over 20 years now
