Description

This superspecies was discovered active in Sollgel Island, Pacific Ocean during 1967. The titan is assumed a desert dweller and hunt by ambushing under piles of sand.

This titan was mainly an arachnid which possesses multiple unique characteristics of each member in such group. He bears four pairs of legs, with the one most anterior being the pedipalps, and two pairs of “chela”, one resembles that of a scorpion and the other resembles that of a spider near mouth. Kumonga also possesses a pair of organ which resembles the pectines of a scorpion, but located near his mouth instead of the ventral side of his body.

In order to neutralize the radioactive energy so that he can feed on with minimum harm, the titan will hunt actively for such supplements. To support his vicious hunting style, the two pairs of posterior legs are longer and more muscular for performing high jumps. “Spinnerets” and organ that secretes adhesive liquid are also found in his abdomen and inside his mouth respectively.

This superspecies appeared to be an ambush hunter which he can perfectly blend in sand during sandstorms. The pincers located at the front of the larger chela will launch and snap in lightning speed to capture wandering preys.

Sensing hairs are common in tarantula but they are missing in this titan. Instead, the titan sense by a pair of “pectines” at the front when burrowed in sand. They sense smell and vibrations for the titan, so that these information can back his poor eye sight up.

Adhesive liquid that solidifies as web was also discovered as a weapon for Kumonga to capture prey in place or immobilizing them, like a velvet worm. The solidified webs are yellow in color, implying Sulphur content intake in this superspecies.

Aside from intake, Sulphur is also visible all over the body of the titan. This theorizes Kumonga is capable of living near volcanic areas or extreme, remote regions underground.

The hind legs of the titan can support performing high jumps. This may help the titan catch his prey ahead of its escape routes, which tells Kumonga may also be an active hunter depends on situation.

According to local legends, Kumonga was crowned as Sargon, meaning scorpion king, the king of the desert. Natives of Sollgel Island will sacrifice one person every half a year to satisfy the king. They believe in such way, the desert king will protect them against intruders and demons.

Local legends also recorded an ancient battle between Kumonga and a juvenile Titanus gojira member that wandered and came on shore. It ended with the leaving of the wanderer. The natives will continue to offer sacrifice to Kumonga, no matter their population will decrease or not, which is also near constant throughout these years.
