Gah, that plot is so old and overdone. They need to go back to the Batman-Villain recipe, an even playing field, not leftovers for nostalgia/convenient plot purposes.

I think the problem is that nearly every writer/artist wants to work on the Batman comics at one time in their careers. So the writer for Beyond is trying to write it more like a Bruce era batman story not realizing it doesn't work as well, since Bruce really is just a side character (like Alfred was/is).

Exactly! They need to focus of Terry, and of course have Bruce involved but not so much that they're budding for the spotlight. I mean, I really wanna see Terry grow [well, more than he has], and just, I don't know, have villains and relationsips that are unique to him.
Bah. I really miss Blight...one of my favorite Beyond villains.

Ooh, Inque was a good combination of formidable villain and beauty. And the mech-batsuit Terry used to fight her was BOSS. I really dug her design and color scheme, though there were a lot of good characters in Batman Beyond [well, at least I thought so], though she was one of my favorite female villains.
I also loved the Dee-Dee twins. My God, I wish they were better fighters lol. And for some reason I never warmed up to Ten [of the Royal Flush Gang], but I did like her hair... I'm such a geek.

Ten was a good update on the Catwoman architype; but she didn't work because, unlike Bruce, Terry has a love life(or a life in general) outside the suit.

Definitely, and I actually felt bad when that fling ended, but it was sort of goofy [but thatβs normal? βCause they were teenagers...]. To be honest, I always secretly wanted Max to end up with Terry, but it was simply not meant to be. Max was totally another favorite female on the show, especially since Iβm an Oracle fan, and I liked her more than Dana [at that point of time, at least].
I only got a feel for Terry and Dana's love and relationship in the JLU crossover, when it shows how she understands he's Batman and they can't get married.
Or maybe I just never like heroesβ damsels-in-distress girlfriends. BAH I AM BITTER.

I really hope they do, and they should make more new enemies. As interesting as it is seeing Bruce's retirement buddies come back, Terry Really needs more of his own rogues gallery.
