Description
This piece is 30x40 inch acrylic on canvas. It is a piece that works with a subject I am very interested in; the gap between realistic and abstraction. I wanted to paint it in a way that made the viewer read it as a realistic form, but not recognizable enough to tell what it was. I painted from a collage of photos taken of the same object from different angles in different lighting. When you look close at the piece, you notice I used larger brushes and painted very gesturaly.
