Aurora over Monolake? Now that is something I've never seen before, guess you were reaaally lucky. Or is this light pollution with changed Hue?

It's not an aurora, but charged particles in the atmosphere that are called "air glow" and it was visible to the naked eye. There are no big cities for hundreds of miles, so it wasn't light pollution. I asked desert photographer friends if they knew what I caught and they all agreed that it was airglow. Cool stuff huh?
