Description Mono Lake is an amazing experience. Every visit I make presents me with sights I have not seen before, and experiences that live on in my heart.

This alien landscape will soon be replaced by water. The lake is slowly being refilled, and in about six years, the beautiful tufa towers seen in this image will only be things of photographic legend.

My favorite part of this image is that you can still see the stars in the blue night sky.

As is often the case, it pales in comparison to the actual sunrise, but I thank you all the same. I really love that lake!
