Description I shot this just before heading back home. The Merced river is at capacity and I wanted to catch the feeling of the current by doing a long exposure.

This was the perfect end of a visit to one of my favorite places on earth. I just stood there looking at the scene before me, and took in what looked like a living painting. Then I shot some images.

Thanks! It was a whole lot better in person. I just stood, gape jawed staring at what looked like a living painting for a short while before I started shooting.

Beautiful Matt! Truly looks like a painting! Every time I go to Yosemite, I go to this spot and sometimes just sit there and take in the view, it is truly an amazing site and you've captured it's true beauty!

Breath-taking. I spent a few days in the park in '09 on a 3-week long National Park road trip that I did. It was definitely one of my favorites.

It was wonderful! I hit Washingtong, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, California & Oregon. I will never forget it!

Thanks, and it was so much more dramatic in person… Bridalveil falls running with spray coming off the top and the foliage in the foreground moving to the breeze… I just stared at the scene gape jawed and would only occasionally regain my composure and remember to shoot the spectacle before me.

I can't imagine how beautiful this would be in person. It must have been quite a sight to behold. That's always the thing with Photographs. Reality is always more beautiful cause you get the 'whole' picture!

I Love It! I stopped there on my way home as well the sku was bright blue and the was shining bright. Bad for pics but great for the view. Even put my feet in the water for about 5 seconds before they froze!

I'm in Sacramento but I'm in the Bay a lot.. I would love that... Ill give yo a heads up the next time I'm headed that way to shoot and if you are open and want to get to get together we can meet up for some shooting and a beer or something..
