I've been working on this for a few months... I really need to finish it. It's really, really close to being done (at least at the sketch stage). It's an homage to my favorite filmmaker and a sort-of display of what has been influenced by him.(my favorite is Whispers of the Heart)
All of the characters from the top to the second to last row belong to Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki.
Aang, Appa and Zuko belong to Mike, Bryan and Nick.
Woody belong to Disney and Pixar.
Art belongs to me.

Really neat pic!
I always thought it was awesome that Avatar drew so much influence from Ghibli. Here's a bit of trivia for you, which one-off character in season 3 was a Shout Out of sorts to Ghibli?

What's with the random Avatar and Toy Story?

The picture in entirety was going to be a tribute to Miyazaki, both by showing what he has done and by showing what projects he has influenced with his work (ie. Avatar and Pixar). In the third Toy Story, there is a Totoro Doll standing near the computer, and the creators of Avatar have mentioned on numerous occasions that one of their biggest influences have been Miyazaki movies (just compare Appa to the Cat-bus in Totoro or the Ocean Spirit at the end of the first season to the Forest Spirit in Princess Mononoke).
At the bottom I was also going to draw a boy watching TV or drawing (symbolizing me, and the future artists who have been or are being influence by him). Like I said... it's unfinished so...
