Description This is the first episode/comic/whatever of The Third Faction to branch out into ALL of gaming, which is something i've been looking to do for awhile now.....one can only make so many comics based on one game no matter how great that game may be (WoW).

So my first choice was to do something with Kratos. I chose him and his series because, to be honest, i think the games would be vastly better on the nintendo Wii....hence how i came up with my little joke.

As the Wii continues to gain popularity and influence i think we will inevitably see last gen game designs, like god of war, upgrade into the new generation and be more profitable and enjoyable as a result.

God of War 1+2 need to be ported to wii with motion controls! If you dont think this can happen then just play RE4 wii edition!

Eh, call me a classic gamer. If I wanted to move around, I wouldn't be playing video games.

Also, you forgot Kratos's tattoo.

God of War on the Wii? That's something that only Kratos could play. I don't think there's anyone in the world experienced enough to swing the blades in such cool ways >.< It just wouldn't be as satisfying. Still... would be fun to try

"Lance of the Furies - Jump 2 meters high and smash your wiimote on the floor to create a seismic slam!"

dude, there's probably 2% of that happening at the most. AT THE MOST. the gow series always has been and always will be exclusive to sony's systems(gow1+2 are ps2 exclusives, #3 is a ps3-exclusive). think about it; do you honestly think that sony is going to want one of their well-known, profit-making franchises on the system of a rival company? i'm sorry, i just had to ruin a good theory with a crappy fact. oh, and re4 on the wii is like bush as president. it sucks.

Oh i know it would never happen as a matter of fact.

That doesn't change my opinion that the quality of fun i've had with the wii has been, on average, much higher than that of the ps3 or the 360. And i play my 360 a lot... its just a matter of quality vs. quantity and i can say that i would prefer to play about 99% of those 360/ps3 games with a wiimote interface. Example; gears of war 2 would be 10x as fun if i could actually aim with some semblance of accuracy and speed instead of with the aiming equivilant of a slingshot in a gunfight.

But i can still dream and imagine as well as argue my position that gamepads are going the way of the dinosaur as the primary method of control. We are going to see it supplemented by wiimote like devices. This isn't even a theory anymore as both sony and MS have invested in motion sensing technology as well as adding unconventional input devices such as cameras to their catalogs. The purpose of the comic is to illustrate this convergence of major corporate entities onto a technology that more and more is looking like the future of gaming.

i guess. sorry about the comment, i didn't mean to sound baised it's just that god of war pretty much belongs to sony, so unless nintendo bought the rights to the god of war series i don't think that would happen, and i guess every system is fun in their own ways. about the motion-sensing investments, i see how sony did it (six-axis), but what is MS doing w/the motion-sensing thing? how would they put that to use( cause sony has 6-axis as ive already said in the DS3 controller, and the wiimote pretty much is motion-based, so what would they do, just copy them?)

Well is more easy sony make a control like wii-mote for ps3 than make GOW for wiii...

Thank ye!

I also think it would be great to play GoW with Wii motion controls; after playing certain games like Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, Battalion Wars 2, Metroid Prime 3 and now Mario Galaxy I really dread the thought of playing games on a traditional console with last gen controls.

I think its time the gaming industry evolves in areas more than graphics and Nintendo is leading the way and setting brand new standards of quality with their innovative hardware design and comprehensive evolutionary gameplay design.

I could blab on and on about the virtues of Nintendo, but i would probably just bore all the home viewers, hehe

your totally right! after fantastic games like Metroid Prime 3 and their aweome controls the gaming industry should really looking forward for the wii. i think the only problem is that, some of the developers put not enough effort in the conversion off wii games like Tony Hawk Proving Ground or Spiderman 3. i mean they are not really bad but they could be a lot better. (i hope you now what i mean because my english is not so good^^)

Good point; the lack of developer effort is what i like to call "EA syndrome" ... thats not to say the only big publisher to put out games like this is EA but its indi of big faceless corporations like EA who are more concerned with mere market presence than putting out quality titles that take advantage of what a unique console like Wii has to offer.

But this stream of low quality titles is merely the breaking in period which the industry has to go through; change does not come quickly...especially for an entertainment medium that has been, for the near entirety of its life span, used to designing games for a gamepad. The inclusion of motion controls opens up entire realms of possibility and that is daunting and, probably, scary for big name publishers to commit millions of dollars of development towards because they, as publishers, lack the skills and imagination to know how to utilize such possibilities to create profit (thats the job of the developer).

"EA syndrome" is a really good word for that what you describes. i think think you are right when you say that EA is maybe to daunting to make games who tap the full potential of the wii. it is much easier to make a bad conversion^^. but what is really positiv is that some publischer make remakes from older games like Scarface the world is yours and Okami (what is a perfect game for the wii) with customized controls.that shows that they have interest to make games for the wii. but i hope that they dont make only mini games collections or someting^^
