Truthfully, this portrays the Avatar of Sargeras, not Sargeras himself. And even though, the avatar wielded a great black spear, and was clad in a full armor, dark as night. And where's his "trademark" beard of pure fire?

I do. There are far too few artworks showing Aegwynn battling Sargeras. This rocks.

Reminds me of dear Morgoth, but then again most of Warcraft is inspired from Tolkiens works.

I bet this will come in the FanArt gallery.. but I don't like her butt showing X) also the nails are.. kinda weird. He's supposed to be a gigantic Titan of molten bronze dude

well the nails are supposed to symbolize Sargeras' philosophies on pain and chaos: what he views to be the true absolutes of reality. Because of his descent into oblivion he is now a masochist and a sado-masochist, because he is REALLY into pain. So he likes to impale his appendages with giant nails crafted from his own body (the molten ore).
Sargeras started off being bronze, but as he descended into madness he began to change. By the point he fights good ol Agy parts of his body (arm, legs (cant see)) are becoming increasingly twisted and chaotic to reflect his inner rage and hate. He is very much molten, his limbs crack and bend to reveal deep chasms of fire and molten lava, hence the cracks and fire coming from his arms and head. The outside of his body, the parts that still retain their original shape, has darkened from constant tempering of the metal and the shine and brilliance of his once bronze skin is now a pearly grayish black which has begun to split and crack but is not so far that it reflects the more lava-esque aspects of his other arm. Sargeras is still quite large and for that Agy had to use some serious magic to even the score, so while he is about 10x larger than her he was still brought down a peg using the various guardian magics Agy tilized to even the score.

Ok, after reading, I think the nails were indeed a creative solution. Still, I like the other things like fiery cuts and blazing wounds more to describe his own agony.
But, Sargeras was never even at the point of losing that battle, you must know.. I mean, he just let Aegwynn 'kill' him, because he thought that the point of invasion was probably better on an other moment (hence he corrupted Aegwynn's unborn child, Medivh)
That moment didn't really come as he hoped, though (luckily

Correct, mate. Also, Sargeras doesn't look like that, his weapon is not a hammer, but a spear (although in War of the Ancients it was a sword). He wears black armor and his beard and hair are made of flame. You didn't even add them. His skin WAS bronze but then it started to tear from lava flowing in his veins.
About Aegwynn- by that time her hair was blonde and the battle was in a snowy field. She was wearing white clothes... Also, she didn't kill Sargeras, that was just his avatar which he used to transfer himself into Aegwynn's unborn child (Medivh). I hope I cleared all of the mistakes up.
Really not too bad work, but you went TOTALLY overboard with the nails xD
