Soviet Superwoman and Walkiria stared at Xeranad for a moment, a little unnerved by how calm he was. "It looks like you broke through my defenses... though to be perfectly honest, I didn't expect much from them except to wear you down a little. It makes our fight all the more fair."

"How is nearly making me go both deaf and blind fair?" Olga asked. Xeranad smirked.

"Because you're you."

Aria and Bardak moved up the cliffside until they got up to level ground. The entrance to the HYDRA Cannon was open and unprotected. "I don't like this." Bardak muttered.

"Well, we're running out of time, so I'm not sticking around." Aria answered, jumping down and running straight for the entrance... when a gigantic metallic robot lizard with the Emperor riding on top stepped into view.

"This is as far as you go, child." The Emperor commanded, slamming his sword into the ground, sending a wave of earth that hit her into the wall. Bardak jumped down and examined her, and despite bleeding a bit, she was mostly fine.

"Don't worry Aria. I'm here to back you up." Aria grabbed his hand and shook her head.

"No. You need to get to the control room. I'll take care of the Emperor."

"He just smacked you around like a ragdoll. I cannot let you fight him by yourself." Bardak responded.

"Listen, if the Emperor is here, then I'm one hundred percent certain that Xeranad is here also, probably fighting Walkiria and Soviet Superwoman. They won't be able to focus on the cannon as long as he has their attention. And we can't waste any time fighting the Emperor while the cannon is operational. So I'll keep him from following you." Aria smiled despite the pain she was in.

Bardak stared at her for a second and nodded. "Good luck to you then." Bardak then ran past the Emperor, who turned after him, but then got blasted with a fireball and stared back at Aria.

"So, you really want to get hurt by me. If that is what you want, I will oblige you." The Emperor raised his blade, and his mount roared.

Aria drew her sword Rapture, and wiped the blood off her face. "Just try and keep up."

Xeranad shook his head. "So, the two of you intend to stop me? How does that saying go? When life gives you lemons..."

Walkiria crossed her arms. "Make lemonade."

"No, make grape juice and then sit back and watch life try to figure out how the hell you did it." Xeranad finished, raising his hand and focusing. Walkiria suddenly collapsed in pain, gasping for air.

"What... the... hell?"

"See what I mean? Seeing as how you derive your power from that dimensional portal inside you, you are quite easy to dispatch to someone who can control dimensional portals. Sucks to be you right now, huh?" Xeranad laughed maniacally when suddenly SSW slammed her fist into his porcelain masked face, sending him backwards.

"Try that again and I will make you regret it." Olga seethed. She turned to Maia and asked. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah..." Walkiria coughed. "I've been better, but I'm fine."

Xeranad smiled behind his mask. "The bonds of love are as strong as ever, I see... if only she was still here, none of this would have happened."
