As I mentioned over at my Caudipteryx zoui field guide entry, the length, extent, and even coloration of the wing feathers in C. dongi look pretty different from the type species. Most notably, it looks (like Similicaudipteryx) to have secondaries. Simili shows secondaries only appeared late in ontogeny in caudipterids, but dongi is smaller than zoui. What do you guys reckon?
