And then Cy-kill was found dead...his face taken by Optimus Prime...becase Cy-kill always, always dies every time he shows up in transformers. ALWAYS.

In MY room, my GoBots Renegades all wear the Decepticon insignia. I keep Cy-Kill and Megatron apart though. Of course they BOTH have to contend with Starscream.

Growing up, we never had much money. So I never actually owned any REAL Transformers... we had make due with Go-Bots... So this one just hits home for me.
By the time my grandmother got me a transformer for my birthday, I was well into my teenage years and not really interested in toys anymore. -_-

Ahem, Lil Formers is an amazing series, and this one shows why; a lot of love for Transformers and it's nutty subculture.
I have a soft spot in my heart for Gobots, only because I had so many. Usually I could wrangle one or two out of my mom when went to K-Mart back in the day...ah, the '80's

OMG! The Rock Lords? I have 2 of them! I have the diamond(not sure why it is a HE in Japanese 90's version, and a SHE in US GO-BOTS version) and the good rock guy with a red helmet and human face.

Didn't Go-Bots actually predate transformers though? I seem to remember them coming out first. Transformers were of course the more sucessful of the two, but Go-bots were some pretty fine toys, especially the super gobots which were some pretty detailed in their vehicle form like the one that turned into a Leopard 1 and another that was a Scimitar AFV...

The show's debuted pretty much at the same time in 1984 (gobots was maybe a few weeks before). But the TF toys predate the gobots for sure, some of the japanese versions go back to at least 1980.

In the Transformers series the chief of the good guys was red, blu and white while the chief of the bad guys was mostly white.
