I heard they didn't rename him Galvatron because it would confuse some people.

Im gonna say it,I liked ROTF. But I do think that Devastator was kinda useless in the film, wrecking balls, and he barely did anything. But I liked the action scenes, and the overall story.

Yeah,I agree with you there. But I do think the critics were too harsh on the film. And when you think about it,we can actually blame Hasbro for some mistakes, such as the Demolisher/Scavenger thing. In all video games and merchandise,Demolisher is red,and Scavenger is a non-transforming construction vehicle used only as a devastator component(unless you count the EZ devastator),however in the film Demolisher was white, and Scavenger's robot mode was never shown.

Maybe Hasbro has the final say in the movie and made him include Devastator? (Might explain why he put in the "wrecking balls" scene, as a "Take that!" at Hasbro.) So maybe they'll overrule him on the Dinobot matter as well.

Yeah, seeing how they designed the new transformers in the second movie, I think I would be a little wary on how good the designs on the Dinobots would be.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't think too highly of the movie (a minority of one is the loneliest number). I got a bigger chuckle out of THIS, and I didn't have to shell out $7.50.
Galvatron looks like he's enjoying Cheets' disappointment.

It is frustrating that they gave Michael Bay $200m dollars and THAT was the best he could come up with. It's an ok, fun, summer blockbuster, but with what he had to work with, it could have been so much better.
At the least the first one was mostly respectful, but the TF's did have more personality this time around, even if it was the personality of Jar Jar Binks sometimes

I was annoyed that the canon chars took a backseat to those two--that, the fact that Megatron turns out to be nothing but a lackey the use of the military as nothing more than cannon fodder, and as you said, a huge budget and I'm not sure what he used it on.
I think Robert Rodriguez should direct the next one. He knows how to work CGI, can make things enjoyable for adults AND kids at the same time, and he can do amazing things with a buck.

You're right about Rodriguez, he'd be great (and have you read "Rebel without a Crew"?), but I think Bay is enjoying exposing us all to the contents of his head too much to walk away from this one.

That, and sticking it to his critics, who have pretty much written him off as someone who represents the reflection of everything that's gross and pathetic about Hollywood. The money he makes is pretty much a pert too.
Its funny--I read that book and thought nothing of it when I did, until my kids fell in LOVE with the Spy Kid series and Sharkboy and Lavagirl and I always check out what they want to watch or read and LO--there he was.
