As much as I agree with this , why can't the fandom agree that a franchise as old as Transformers NEEDS the reinvention . Bayformers was NOT handled well and no it is not Bay's fault , it was his piss poor writers and Bay decided to go with their bad scripts . TF5 has new writers but the shit stain left by the writers still stands .
Heck TF4 had one writer but it was only half as bad as the other films .
I hope TF5 : The Last Knight will be good but if not only decent .
But if not , we have to ask Hasbro for a reboot .
Thanks for the cool comic .

I watched the first one in theaters once. never touched the franchise again. But I will at least give it one more shot if Bay ever leaves.

Heard he is. Maybe. I didn't like the fourth all that much because the dino bots were only near the end and all the vehicles were just minecraft.

Yup, he's back for TF5...for the last time though.
The rest of the sequels (including the animated prequel) were directed by other people.

My thing for it: explosions, focusing more on humans than robots who turn into cars, more humans, more explosions, the creators, final fight, cybertron, fight for 3 seconds, humans, blow up stuff.

I just realized, looking back that this was really just a typical Pro-G1 piece and how much of a caps-rager I was back then, oh the good days of four years ago.
I don't think you really represent a major portion of fans, since quite a few actually enjoyed Bayformers as a stupid but awesome action movie, not a nostalgia spectacle, Β You guys are just loud and annoying to be honest, not really plentiful. Β The thing is you guys aren't children anymore, that's the point.

This was specifically about Don Murphy banning transfans from his forum, something that he actually did at the time.
As for the live action movies, I think I'll agree with AintitCool news in that they are "Cinematic Piss". Though i have only seen the first one.
PS: G1 is not my favorite TF era. Beast Wars is, which I didn't start watching until I was in college.

Hey, Matt!Β Personally, I like how Optimus Prime looks as a red and blue flame-painted long-haul type Peterbilt tractor-trailer truck.Β I own ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime, HFTD Voyager Class Battle Blades Optimus Prime, and the 2013 Black Friday exclusive DOTM leader class Jetwing Optimus Prime figures, which I really like.Β As for the movie designs, Michael Bay wanted all of the transformations that occurred in the movies themselves to look like they could really happen in real life, so the robots were designed to transform in a manner that involved having all of the parts of their alt-modes move in such a way as to allow their alt-mode components to form a sort of entirely mechanical Cybertronian musculature for the robot modes of the Transformers.

I agree almost all the transformers had bad designs in movies like how I can't tell what megatron face is!

The animation model of movieverse Optimus Prime consisted of10,108 parts, whereas the digital model of ROTF Devastator had more than 52,000 pieces of individual animated geometry.

those were just overhaul balls from the crane truck that became one of the arms. Besides, can you think of a better place for those overhaul balls than where they put them?

The worst part is, the vehicle modes only had one wrecking ball. So a second wrecking ball appears out of nowhere JUST TO MAKE A TESTICLE JOKE. Michael Bay, you ruined Devastator for me!

There is not enough mass in a Cab over Engine tractor trailer truck to adequately hide Primeβs entire robot mode, thus making transforming into one completely unrealistic due to Mass Shifting being an impossible occurrence, which is why Prime scanned the more photogenic Peterbilt 379 truck with sleeper cab because it had enough mass for him to literally disguise himself as one without mass shifting.

MattMoylan In reply to SupremeLeaderOptimus [2013-04-08 05:47:29 +0000 UTC]
Well, that's just not true at all. I have a half dozen Optimus Prime toys myself that disprove that. Masterpiece Optimus Prime is probably the best example.
π: 0 β©: 1
SupremeLeaderOptimus In reply to MattMoylan [2013-04-14 02:12:45 +0000 UTC]
Uh, toys don't count when it comes to the Transformers appearing on screen at a real location interacting with real actors by being digitally rendered and animated through the use of CGI with real vehicles being used to depict the robots as having disguised themselves as said vehicles and filmed at a real location without using green/ blue screen for the special effects.
π: 0 β©: 1
MattMoylan In reply to SupremeLeaderOptimus [2013-04-14 04:00:35 +0000 UTC]
Yeah that's pretty weak logic dude. It's harder to make a CG model than a real transforming toy? HAHAHA!
π: 0 β©: 1
SupremeLeaderOptimus In reply to MattMoylan [2013-04-14 17:56:44 +0000 UTC]
Then try explaining to me how mass shifting could possibly be even remotely realistic when it comes to making robots who are large enough to be in scale with real life humans and have alt modes that said humans could actually sit inside.
π: 0 β©: 1
SupremeLeaderOptimus In reply to MattMoylan [2013-04-15 20:44:02 +0000 UTC]
Well, how do you explain the fact that none of the toys released during the run of the G1 cartoon are in scale in either mode?
