Description More Whitlatch inspired studies. Some pelvis skeletal/muscular turnarounds. The remainder is just getting re-familiarized with quadruped anatomy.Β

These are great! Wonderful anatomy studies!
Minor critique: bears are not digitigrade, they walk on the full foot, like humans.

This is such an amazing set of reference material forΒ quadrupeds! I have really appreciated seeing new art from you, especially with all these anatomy studies for others to learn from. BIG fan of your work. Thank you for sharing!Β

Amazing!! I really enjoy seeing how much you observed each species. It inspires me to do more study drawing.Β

Wow, amazing work! Nice to hear you're working with Terryl Whitlatch, she does some marvelous work. It's very interesting to see the process of drawing, we often forget that it's important to start with basic shapes! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more.

How long have you studied anatomy? It's wonderful to see this in drawings. Especially animal anatomy, as it seems so different from ours, though it's probably not. It's easy to draw an animal from the outside, but to get to know it from the inside is key. x

I've tried to keep up with it since art school, so about 15 years now. Also, you're right, it's all the same stuff in a different arrangement. The more you know about one, it helps with the rest.

15 Years! Awesome No wonder it comes so naturally.

What inspires you? I see new updates from you in days at a time and it takes me weeks or even months to feel inspired enough to pick up my pad. These games, though - they just hook me straight in lol, that might have something to do with it...

I've just finished Dragon Age 2! Omg what a morbid outcome... everything I touched just literally died lol! Ended up alone and Kirkwall in pieces - happy days xΒ

Well, I honestly find inspiration to be too unreliable. I do these studies out of self-imposed obligation. I want to be better, so I work.Β
Glad you like the games! We love making them, so it's encouraging!

I can understand that - that's what I'm finding at the moment. Inspiration comes and goes! At least if you have the drive, it will never leave you. Practice makes perfect, as they say.

I love the games - there's nothing out there quite like them

I'm still yet to draw people in costume, like you suggested last time, but I will! I'm looking more into shoes, as they're my biggest downfall. Most of mine just look like socks...Β

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me it's definitely encouraging for me xx

Oh gosh did you do all of these in 2 days?!Β  They are amazing.Β  The little animal silhouettes on the left are ingenious.Β

I did, yes (I'm feeling very inspired). And thanks! Those silhouettes were my first crack at differentiating these quadrupeds. We all KNOW they're different, but when you're looking at skeletons and muscles it's amazing how similar they can be. Starting with the simplest shapes helped to keep things straight.
