You missed the sword hilt in between her fingers. Effect being she does not appear to be holding it. It looks like it is floating in the air behind her hand.

is it me or does the handle of that sword look like a phallic object?
perhaps the sword has dual uses?

well just for future reference even though you don't play wow you may hear this term used often.
A socket gem is like having a ring with a holder for a diamond. You can choose to wear it with or without the "diamond" (Meaning Socketed or Not Socketed.) Having your gear socketed gives the player extra features like bonuses to armor, hit, crit, etc.
