Pro Lifers like to use horrific imagery and errie messages to get their point across...so I decided to use a similar concept in my pro-choice message.I literally see taking away our rights to abortion as putting a knife into our own rights. I use the words of those spoken by pro-lifers to echo their emotional appeals in the background. I represent taking away the rights of women as a sword and blood with pro life written across it...as it's ironic because you'd think pro-life would resemble life and all it does is take away the lives and rights of women. No one cares about the life of the woman, only the fetus. It would be a terrifying world to live in if women had that taken away. More lives wouldn't be saved...no...more lives would be taken away because of a foolish ban. Wouldn't would turn to unsafe practices. But no one cares. No one cares about the scared frightened girl who doesn't know what to do about her pregnancy situation. It's very sad though.
It's a little graphic...if people think this is too offensive I'll put on the warning and disable comments.
It might be kind of hard to read though...if anyone has any tips on how to make it easier to read let me know...

Yeah I was concerned about that. It was meant to be kind of...errie and shadowy.
I should still have the original file on photoshop if you know of any ways I could make this more...clear?

The gray text should be less visible. Make it darker and bolder.
Leave the layer effects out completely. It makes the whole thing more confusing.
Next, the knife was drawn really clumsily, it should be smoother and cleaner. Also, blood is quite thick, it runs in much fewer and thicker lines, your blood looks more like wool.
Try to find good examples of typography for better design. Print ads are usually a good source.

Now sure how to fix the knife, I don't have a tablet so I can't draw as well on photoshop, but I might be able to fix everything else...
I work two jobs though so XD; if or when I'll get around to it might be a while. Thanks for the feedback though.

As horrible as doctors using dirty infected instruments, leaving pieces of a dead baby still inside a women, giving women diseases from poor care, and when women they "helped" die they cover everything up and destroy records?
That aside... i find the large amount of Pro Life who constantly use gruesome and horrifying images to be... odd. (and sometimes quite ignorant.) By nature a Prolife image should be celebrating life and joy not slandering the opposition. If you really care about choice i think you should depict the joy of choice. Not slander the other side. In mudslinging you only succeed in both getting dirty.
That being said... I just so happen to care about BOTH sides. Most of my friends are wonderful women.

Oh one thing I forgot to mention...if you don't like abortion...instead of praying for abortion to become illegal...pray for there to be no more need for abortion. Make contraceptives more available, give women the freedom to get fixed especially if they really don't want children.
Trust me, I wouldn't undergo an abortion unless all other methods have failed. It's a last resort for me. I just don't like that my family thinks keeping the baby is the only solution, even giving it up for adoption seems to be out of the question. >.>; I swear I was born into a family of breeders who think women are like livestock. Women don't seem to get any respect in my family unless they've had a baby. Only men seem to get any respect in my family. Even at 26, I'd have to keep the whole mess a secret or they'd pressure me to keep it.
On the other hand, they seem to disapprove of adoption too! My own father said he couldn't love an adopted child the same! WTF? So if I did have a kid I'd want to adopt. It would be my choice because to me DNA doesn't make a family, love makes a family. At least my mom agrees with me on this one.

Not all abortion Doctors are going to use dirty infected instruments. In fact, like many other health care providers, they have to maintain clean and safe environment for the woman to come into when they do get the abortion, and most 3rd trimester/late term abortions are illegal anyway except in the case of the life of the woman being at risk, or there could be some complication that could lead to her being perminently disabled. Most abortions are done in the first and second trimester, before the baby can develop conciousness, though they have said the fetus remains unconcious until it is born.
I know you care about both sides, but I fail to see how one can be pro-life and care about both sides because pro-life would mean you'd be forcing the woman to have the baby no matter what the circumstance, even in rape or if the woman could die. But if you are pro-choice, that means you not only care about both sides, but also respect a woman's right to choose even if you don't approve of abortion itself. That's the beauty of pro-choice. If I was pro-abortion on the other hand like many accuse pro-choicers of being, I would be going around FORCING women to get abortions.
So in effect I think it's possible to be pro-life so to speak and disapprove of abortion...but still respect a woman's choice to have one without parading around calling it murder and harrassing abortion clinics (Which, you don't seem to do anyway XD)...and that's what makes someone pro-choice.
One of my friends on DA is an abortion Doctor, she might be able to answer some of your questions about what they do specifically in the clinics.

I myself wouldn't get an abortion, I'm far too sensitive :c But I'm Pro-Choice because no two women are alike. We are people too, we deserve to make our own decisions.
