Ending the string of Dinosaur King canon with Spike Taylor, one of the oldest guardians. Despite already being a guardian of Max's crystal, he offers to be also Cole's instead of Aki to protect her.
His relationship with Cole is a typical father-teenager dynamic when Cole mocks his father, but also completely seriously mimics him. Just like Max, Spike tries his best to encourage Justin, however, his most notable OC relationship is with Lucy Komatsu who's his childhood friend and a teenage romance, which ended pretty peacefully; Lucy even helped him get together with Aki. They still love to tease each other; their relationship is basically a grown-up version of Max-Zoe or Cole-Sue dynamic.
When the D-Team figuratively disbanded, Spike felt a responsibility to take over their job and fight against the Akuno.
