Description Woot! My first Kirin, or Ki-Rin for the picky types. This piece is actually the Animagus transformation of one of my Harry Potter RPG characters, Shen Han.

I printed this drawing there are at least 10 years. I've always loved this drawing. For 10 years it is pinned on the wall of my room.

That gives me all sorts of warm fuzzies inside. I'm glad I could make something that moved you in such a way.

This is beautiful... Love it!

I was also wondering if you would mind me using this for a research project? Just as an image on one slide with credit to you with it.

ok i like it but a kirin is a deer with one antler. he's horselike and has a unicorn horn

There are actually a handful of depictions of the Kirin, and all depending on country and even dynasty. True I used a Lipizzan for the pose, but I made the body more stream line than a horse, and used dragon and lion elements in my version, creatures that the Kirin has also been said to have resemblances to.

Point is, this is a fanciful creature, who's appearance is as varied as the many countries that share it's mythology. So before you go nit-picking the creative liberty of anyone else's gallery, try to appreciate what you see for what it is.

Hey uh could I use your picture for an outline for a picture I want to draw? It's for a story....

I would prefer that you didn't. If you like the pose, I suggest looking up a breed of horse called the Lipizzan. That is where I got my reference from for this picture. I'm sure you can find one you like and outline it yourself.

Kay, thanks!

I began to become interested in the Kirin after watching "The Twelve Kingdoms", have you ever seen it?

Oh my, yes. o_o Though, I've only seen the first 10 episodes, I'm totally hooked. I really should watch more. The animation is lovely and the story is so in depth! It's truly an amazing series.
