Bulbasaur are a Dicynodont Plante species. They hatch from eggs lain in the ground, and sprout like plants when they hatch. Found in warm climate forests, Bulbasaur are primarily consumers. Technically an herbivore, Bulbsaur consume constantly, building fuel to grow the flower seed in its bulb using photosynthesis. They collect pollen and sunlight using their bulb for stored energy, and eat small forest plants and the occasional Oddish.

Once Bulbasaur have matured and collected enough energy, their bulb blooms into a flower blossom and they mature into Ivysaur. Ivysaur use pheromones and odors to attract mates and prey and ward off predators. Ivysaur have incredible appetites, continuing to use photosynthesis and consume plant matter. Heracross and other large grass and bug pokemon often feed on Ivysaur and Bulbasaur pollen.

Venusaur are fully matured Ivysaur, when their flower bulb has fully bloomed. Constant consumers, Venusaur must eat constantly in order to maintain the miniature ecosystem on its back. The plant takes in extraordinary amounts of sunlight in order to survive. Venusaur pollinate plant life in the spring, and spend the summer and fall months consuming for winter. Their pollen is incredibly potent, and is used in many human made medicines.
