Description Not too big, not too small. 16x20? Somewhere around there. Acrylic.

Started out as a reworking of an older composition, one I had already done, which was much larger and more colorful. It began as a solid wall, a stripe of yellow flesh dividing the canvas. One guy just wasn't working out, so I painted him out, which the intention of redoing the space, but decided to try some Whistler "nocturne" shit, which did not work. My last painting done while attending high school. It looks remarkably similar to my first. A disappointment.

I really wish I had painted this better.

You are always so hard on yourself. Maybe thats where the name comes from. "Come down off the cross, we can use the wood." Don't be so Van Gauche. On the other hand, keep the attitude. Maybe your paintings would be shit without it. At any rate, I like this one. Sad and enigmatic, lonely even. Keep 'er comin'!
