Description first painting done in a book which will consist of about 25 paintings. inspired by memories of deconstruction books after sir ham, ~Hamrick , had such enthusiasm. the difference is that i won't be so much into the mixed media aspect.

the book i have converted into my own is called "Spoiled Priest", which may or may not be converted into "Oiled Priest". it's pending.

acrylic on gessoed paper, you can still peek the letters, in some places. the picture is about actual size, i don't know.

i used black for the first time besides that other time that didn't count. i think it worked in doing what i wanted it to. do.

this is what an angel looks like.

but hey whos on trial?

i think this is lovely- the undefined fiure leave mystery- but the prominate halo makes you know that it is an angel.

awww, the mystery of religions.

sometimes.. i find myself so desperate to paint, my fingers itch, that i pick up the first thing i see, and cover it in acrylics. This reminds me of that feeling. great composition, and i love the figure. But i feel some more detail in the bottom left and right corners may give this more balance? just a thought

I like the roughness of this, the deformed grotesque human form reminds me of Jenny Saville

i just found jenny saville, and oh, what a wonderful time it was. a few days ago. though i was painting like her before i knew it. before she knew it. which is always.

it looks like it is blasting off. into heaven, i suppose.
but i like the way you have painted it, the skin texture and junk. and i like the way you used the black, and the white halo, instead of your usual yellow/gold.
but yes. nice work

I completely adore this idea. Are you going to be making a series of paintings within your book that go with each other, or various ideas within in? Usually images that are painting/portrayed central of the picture plane kind of kills the composition and overall outlook of the piece, but this really works. Awesome.

they will probably all be similar, as the book is titled. if the book turns out well, if i finish it, and if it takes not too long, i'll do another.

I like the use of mellow yellow in this.
The white space is very effective.

i find endomorphs the most interesting. i've never seen a thin cherub.

i do that.

the black is good
but it only counts if you're counting.

this is great, in terms of composition, but also the way you can see the text peeking through.
