sarah and deborah, subtract the hair. deborah got messed up, oh well. another no break three hour painting.acrylic 24x20
edit, changed the picture again. made it bigger. different.

i hoipe it doesn't offend you, but i really think you could have left the red strip on the left out of the painting

wonderful mood/expression you captured with this. I love the colors & how it's sort of a numb feeling that they are experiencing.I love how both are so different (faces).

forgot something... If I were you, I would change the title. Looking at this piece, it just seems to have a more profound meaning than only that these two are bald. Even if it had something to do with their baldness... I don't know like "exposed" or "bare"
Just a thought. I have been changing many of the names of my pieces because I realized I wasn't putting the thought into the titles that I was putting into the piece itself and it was this separation between the two instead of merging them into one wholeness.

this is awesome. I love it very much. Often I like paintings of faces but I wouldn't necessarily hang them in my home or anything, but this is a perfect painting. Their expressions are real--I can relate to them. I love the simplicity of how you painted it, the colors, your line work. I love their lips. The way you put the paint on..with it still having this fuzzy effect with obvious layers yet still large blocks of color reminds me a lot of egon shiele. Its just a great painting

I don't know if you will like this comment, but I think there's something religious in this one. The black outlines bring glass paintings to mind, and the woman could be virgin Mary. Well, she has sinned, but has now found new life, and is embracing it with humility.
