I reckon the saddest chapter is the one about how "every pony is made for love" or something like that. That as just sad. And depressing, almost inciting suicidal feelings. That author really messes with ones emotions, and I think you have captured that.

I know, it's gonna take a lot of time, but heck it's worth it. Well, that's IMHO of course.

I'll tell you, I'm a slow reader, but over the span of a month I managed to have it finished. Well, that's also because the story got me hooked to such extents I wouldn't go anywhere without my newly-bought ereader -- which I basically bought for this very reason.

I understand, the writing style is pretty advanced.
In believe, though, that you'll find it progressively easier to read as you advance throughout the chapters; you'll be memorizing certain expressions, words, phrase schemes and basically SS&E's style. The first chapters are the hard part.
