I collect these dolls (I havent read the books/seen the movies), and am absolutely in love with the design aesthetic of the whole world and fashion line. I wish we had something this cool when I was a little kid! I really wish Mattel would hire me to draw a graphic novel for the series ha ha ha, oh man that would be so cool~Anyway I'm working on a series of the girls (and maybe a few of the guys) to hopefully have done in time for Otakon and summer/fall conventions, so here's a sneak peek at three of my favorite characters. Venus is my homegirl, if I didnt hate bodypainting, I'd cosplay her badass in a second!

(Haha actually I almost got hired to do a graphic novel for Monster High, I'm still sad that the project got cancelled T3T I would have been so proud since I also like the dolls. I watched the anime to grab references for the project and it was actually really cool O_O )

will you offer these prints online? my neice is totally in love with monster high and i'd totally get her a big print for her birthday x3 or maybe a custom commission of her own monster high OC that she had me draw for her hahaha [she's 7 and she made a demon girl named Demona XD]

The movies are a little cheesy, but they're cute, while the books are a prequel to the whole thing. They're also cute, but not necessary to read to get their personalities and such
If anything, I'd recommend you watch the webisodes on the monster high site
They're cute, funny and quick ^^
But ever since I first saw them in stores, I said the same thing! Oh well, I probably wouldn't have appreciated them as a kid anyways, and now they're safe and sound in their boxes instead of missing body parts and accessories
