Description Lord Haides (Hades/Aidôneus/Aides) is the god of the underworld, fertile soil, wealth, metals, gems and the unseen. He is the second eldest child of Khronus and Rhea. He rules over the ever-expanding realm of the dead as well as all precious metals and gems hidden within the crust of the Earth. Haides is not a cruel or overbearing god, but a quiet and thoughtful one. He gives freely his time and welcomes mortals openly when they arrive in his realm. Haides's patience is legendary with him only reacting to those who cheat Thanatos (Death), commit inhumane crimes, or dare to Insult or harm his beloved wife, Persephone. His quiet and mysterious nature keeps most gods at a distance and for the most part Haides happily cares for his subjects, only occasionally surfacing to the heavens for special events. The Romans would adopt him into their Pantheon as Pluto.
