ESS Submission for *fabfilly Merry Christmas Holly!
This is *fabfilly 's character Sahara.
Ha! No lines!
I thoroughly enjoyed doing the background. I don't think the snow turned out as well as I would have liked but you know. It looks good enough as it is. I think about 3 hours was spent doing it. No brushes were used. No references, on anything, and... To make the horse the colour it was, I made it a palomino and then changes the hue to a more intense yellow.
The sketch for this was drawn in my sketch book some few weeks ago without any reference, not MLP, not a skeleton, not another drawing my myself. No references were used.

You need a chup bru. Because this looks great! Yellow and Orange are a bit hard to shade though, hey?

A chuppa chup?! FOR ME?! 
I kinda cheated on the colour though - it started out as a palomino but I changed the hues. It definetly works for unnatural coloured horses, and for markings I got new layers and set them to multiply - when I drew the markings over the top it works a treat every time!

Awesome bru. Especially the shape of the horse, excellent anatomy.
The background is pretty awesome too, the detail is funky.
Though I'm not terribly sure on the colour of the horse, did a good job at shading it though.

I don't appreciate "FIRST COMMENT!!!!" on anything I post on this website. It is not a nice thing to recieve because you've concentrated on putting your mark here first instead of looking at the picture.
