I really liked Colo's face in this recent illustration , and I wanted to share a close up shot of it. I was proud that I captured the nuanced emotions he's feeling in this moment. It's primarily worry, but it's laced with confusion and protective anger. Colo can be a tough character to portray sometimes because he's an internal person and his outward emotions tend to be layered. While he's working, he puts conscious effort towards keeping his expressions on the more neutral side, and he keeps tighter control over his body language too. With this piece I felt like I did a good job displaying the tension, and what he was experiencing in that moment. Some of the subtlety got lost in the full version of the image, and I wanted to show a better view of his expression. Anyways, enjoy!
