It's true, I've not been around here much at all it seems. Sadly, I've also not been creative or artsy at all in that span of time. Hoping to get back at it soon. I typed a journally thing about doodling again. How've you been?

Oh goodie! I feel better now, 'cause I know that I didn't know that! Oh, that's a hot job in the summer! My son is working in a fabricating shop. He loves the job, but boy it's hot!

I used to be a fitter/weldor. We have a fab shop where I work but,I rarely weld anymore.

That looks cool. Is it for pipe threading? I don't know how describe what I mean. For holding the pipes to thread them?

Nope. The bores get bronze bushings,and it pivots on a big shaft.
It has another piece that slides on the inside(where all the holes are).
That piece has a hardened nose,which helps guide the starting end of
a steel coil into some sort of production line. I haven't seen exactly
where it goes. I've been working on it for a month or so.

Wow! I was way off! It always amazes me what goes into making the machinery to make other things! One of the only things I miss about not watching t.v. is the shows that tell about things like that. "How It's Made" and other documentaries.
So how close is that to being finished?

I have 2 rolls to turn,and an uncoiler arbor.
Then,hopefully the bed,ram,and bridge,will be back for the shear,
and I'll be able to start on them.
