Hummingbird at Chicago Botanic Gardens. When I first submitted this picture here, I had a frame around it. I wanted to upload a version without the frame. I think it may be a female ruby throated hummingbird. If you know what it is..feel free to tell me.With frame...

Well I checked my book and my own pictures of Anna's I think I'm right...definietly looks like a Female Anna.

did you look at my other photos of the same hummingbird? there are different angles

Female. White tips on the tail. Females are larger than the males as well. Both have an emerald green back. I hope that helps.

Are you talking about ruby throated hummingbirds? I thought it was a female but I'm not positive on the species.
