Occupation: Auror (DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL LAW ENFORCEMENT) -- for roughly two years
Personality:
POSITIVE - Claire is an extremely hard-working person. She's known to finish every little thing she starts, no matter what it is. She is committed, dedicated, but never to a fault; the girl is mindful of the law, and would never work for the unworthy, or for what she considers unnecessary. She's brave without being reckless, and reliable, traits all making her a wonderful auror. She holds little to no grudges, and does well in most social situations, being both outgoing and well-mannered -- but also able to adapt to the people she's dealing with. The woman is imperturbable, sharp, and hard to throw off balance in general. She is known to be particularly faithful and loyal to her closest friends, and people who share her beliefs. NEUTRAL - Oh, she is opinionated. Her being outspoken can often make her quite the loud character; she's also a 'truth-finder', and has little to no tolerance when it comes to lies. Accomplishing goals is often one of her main focus, and so she could be categorized as ambitious. As a result, she became an adventurous character, willing to take risks and dive into the unknown to find the answers she needs. In the same way, that quest for justice can turn her in quite the devil's advocate, until everything is settled; she hates making assumptions. She's also said to be chivalrous; she never refuses a duel when her honor is at stake, and seldom loses them. As for the rest, she does have a sense of humor she tends to keep to herself or for her close friends. She's a gambler, and likes to take risks when the time is just right. All, or nothing. NEGATIVE - Despite her sociable character, Claire cares little about what people think of her. As a result, she rarely wants to make friends, and would rather focus on work. Her brutal honesty makes her relatively disagreeable. While to some, she may be cruel, to others she is simply too single-minded. Her hyperactive mind makes her often forget about things, but never, ever, she'd admit to her colleagues she's a legitimate scatterbrain. She talks to objects when she's feeling lonely (which happens very often, given the kind of person she is), especially to her wand. As a result, she is hardly approachable, but is said to be a very, very valuable friend, once she's on your side. It is very likely she might just be a little out of touch with her own feelings, or clam up for her own safety.

History:
[TL;DR: Born in an overly rich, pure-blooded household. Her father has well known dark-wizard tendencies. Her mother re-marries a muggle. Parents split, and after certain events, Claire stays with her father. She studies hard to become an Auror, and is sent working in Britain.] Claire is the result of the mix of two very, very rich wizard households. Her father, Aziz Kassab, married Marie Verdier for contacts, money, and plenty of other things he might've needed in his life of high-ranked potioneer - and Marie did just the same. But the two parents split, unable to keep on pretending to love each other after ten years of marriage. They had absolutely nothing in common, and the toxic air of the house wasn't suitable for Claire, who was about eight years old at the time. She went with her mother, the parent she knew best--and the only one who didn't express acceptance of Dark Arts, and extreme distaste when it came to muggles.
Eventually, Claire's mother found love while in vacation in the Midi-Pyrénées the next year with a muggle, Heath, from the United Kingdom. Everything went fast, perhaps a bit too fast: Claire ended up in London a week after her mother's second wedding. At first, the girl and her mother thought about hiding the wizard world - but the day her new husband came early and saw the sponge doing the dishes by itself, let's say that he had serious questions. Her new family understood it all, after a night of talking, with the need of few adjustments. He'd always been quite the eccentric guy, and the fact that this answered many mysteries about his wife lead him to accept it all. Marie thanked the world and whatever lead to this ridiculously smooth situation of tolerance and acceptance, although Heath and Ashley did not always get everything that is going on.
Claire studied at Hogwarts -- she used to be a good student, a Hufflepuff, loved by many. A friendly individual, captain of the Quidditch team for a year, caught up in several, typical, teenage love triangles at the time. A fun-loving girl. Her wizard parents often fought over her custody, through both loyal and unfair means -- the latter, especially from her father. The amount of homework and her friends helped her focus on other things, in any case. That was all until her sixth year, during December; the girl went on holidays with her Father and his new family for Yule, in Alger. Nobody quite knew why, nor how, but a couple of magi from extremists movements, committed several crimes on the outskirts of the city, demanding muggles be ruled out of North-Africa--and then the world. Sadly, Claire and her Mother-in-law were caught in one of the attacks. According to the local report, both women suffered doloris during the event. Both survived, however.
After that, Claire was not quite the same. Her father took advantage of the situation, using his current closeness to the girl to claim custody over her. He more or less estranging her from her mother, and from Britain altogether. Living in Paris, France, at the time, he had her transferred in Beauxbâtons instead of Uagadou--despite knowing the latter much better, for he'd studied here himself.
Forced to repeat a year, the girl locked herself up, did nothing but study, study the best she can; cutting all ties with the people she knew from before. She was to become a Auror, perhaps in order to make sure nobody lived what she had lived. Before she knew it, nearly a decade had passed, and she met all the requirements -- she was to be recruited by France's magical bureaus, but before it all happened, the woman made a strange, strange request. She demanded a transfer to Britain, and asked to meet her mother again. There was no objections from her superiors, for some wished to be on even better terms with the British Ministry; sending Claire over, almost like a gift, seemed like a good idea. Her father himself, was quite upset, but accepted the girl's request, only, and if only she'd come back to France after a maximum of ten years of service.
Two years have passed since then, and Claire has been an exemplary, absolute member of the Auror's Office.Funnily enough, Claire doesn't speak much about her feelings over the suspension of the International Statute of Secrecy. For her, it was bound to happen. All she can say is 'a storm is coming'. Most people assume about her more than they ask. As a result, despite living with muggles for a good portion of her life, she's been often categorized as a pro-separation character... Especially given her Father's pro-dark arts and pureblood tendencies. She is too focused in preventing Dark practitioners from committing crime to openly speak on the subject, at the moment--or perhaps she just doesn't wish to speak of it. What she wants now is a perfect record, a good paycheck to live comfortably, and put the unworthy behind bars.

Extra Information: - She has an overgrown fruit bat pet, Lidiaut. The bat fell into one of her father's dark cauldrons years ago during her Auror training, and has never been quite the same every since. It's a loud, intimidating thing nobody really wants to be around. Thankfully for Claire's acquaintances, he's rarely around himself.
- She still actively practices muggle fencing.
- She lives alone in London, and visits her mother often.
