I applied quite a lot of filters here, as the pencil in the original version looked pretty rough and I wanted the portrait to look a bit "smoother"... But still much more work was done with pencil and coloured pencils. Anyway.The first version is on the left (and I use that one as my custom portrait right now)... I'm not 100% satisfied with neither of those pics, but no. 1 is somewhat closer to what I had in mind (although it is more asymetrical).
Anyway - it's both supposed to be the fighter/cleric Ardor - my character from Baldur's Gate 1.

Awesome. Comparing this to the default Baldur's Gate portraits (which aren't bad) emphasises the depth in this work. He has a really interesting expression and it's impossible for me to tell whether he's twisted and evil or has a kind of bleakly-aware nobility. Whatever he is he definitely appears otherworldy and menacing, someone full of an uncompromising rawness and intensity which sets him apart from everyone else. Not inappropriate considering the plotline
Since AD&D doesn't allow for moral ambiguity, what alignment is he?
