Technically the third, but we're going to call it the second of my Wonderland portraits.Alice (my take on her--a little older, but still curious) is a follow up to my earlier Queen of Hearts painting: mercuralis.deviantart.com/art/…
Alice and the Queen will soon be joined by a few other Wonderland characters. I promise that none of them will look like Johnny Depp.

Wow! She's beautiful! I just watched your video of the creation process (all 4 hours of it) but it was worth it. Some great little tips on painting, and some fun rants of yours to listen too. Oh, and I agree wholeheartedly with your ideas on swearing and fantasy heroines.

Oh wow, her face and hair are so perfect. The coloring here is so soft, and yet defined.

For some reason, I see this in a heavy, gilted frame, hanging next to the Hatter's portrait (also framed) both of them either in a long twisting hallway lit by candles and too small at one end, or above the mantle of a crooked fireplace in an old cluttered great room.

I do some traditional work. "Raven Remembers" in my gallery is oil, and there are some pencil and watercolor pieces further back. I'm a little limited in my ability to scan traditional media images, so a lot of the ones I have never get uploaded.

I think she looks wistful, and a little dreamy. Maybe she's regretting growing up? Her eyes are beautiful - they're so vivid that they seem to jump off the page *cough computer screen* at you, but at the same time, they aren't aggressive like they could be.
