I like portraits. I'm definitely working on widening my spectrum, but I like to do these now and then to keep myself in practice. Especially when I'm feeling inspired.

I love how YOUNG he looks. Seems Winter is always older and seasons like Spring and Summer get to be young and beautiful. I'm also dearly in love with his LIPS and that little puff of breath. Fantastico.

I just finished reading a book called, The Iron King, by Julie Kagawa! I loved this book, and one of the charcters captivated my heart. Ash, The Winter Prince. I have been scouring the internet looking for a likeness of him, and I have to say, this work of art by you has me swooning and thinking of Ash!

I love the texture of the background, but it's his eyes that draw me in. I like how you made his breath reflect the cold air around him. This picture is very well constructed, the model doesn't look half bad either. I feel inspired to draw some more (that will have to wait until later tonight, I'm at school now

You know, it was this image that led me to your gallery, and yet I've never managed to get around to commenting. Better late than never, and indeed, why not now...
Anyway. Again, as is fairly standard for me, I want to know his story. His expression is so intense, and his stance seems determined, from what little I can make out -- his shoulders are forwards, which suggests to me he's leaning over talking to someone, and I want to know who, and why. Where's he come from? Who, and what, is he -- elemental, fae, sidhe, mere mortal man? Your pictures inspire so many questions; I want the answers. Except that sometimes it's more fun to imagine...

The hair, lips, pale eyes and fine, strong features are really beautiful, and between his dark hair, light skin, and light eyes, and the title of the picture, I thought immediately of Mordred from Arthurian mythology when I saw this...which is good. Mordred's the one character from those stories I can stand, and I love him to bits.
