This is NOT a meta/officially recommended set of upgrades. This is what I suggest and what I find the most effective. It is created with a thought about newbies who don't know what they should start with.The reason it's not completely filled and it's missing a few tabs is because I'm showing here what is considered the most important upgrades. Other ones are just optional.
Resistances are not included. For Resistance recommendations go here
For people who like to have things written down:
2x Shield > 3x Healing mastery > 1 Overheal > 1 Healing mastery > 3x Overheal > 1 Uber Duration > 3x Ubercharge rate > 2x Uber Duration

Is it recommended to buy a Canteen Specialist, and some Uber Canteens after we got these ones done? Β Are there times where a Medic may need to get those upgrades before they finish this setup, or are these scenarios I'm imagining possible to handle with just the Projectile Shield?

Canteen specialist is a quite wanted upgrade near the end of the mission, which is usually filled with giants and various bosses. The best pick to pair it with is a Kritzkrieg + Uber canteen.

So it is possible to finish enough waves to get these upgrades first, then getting Canteen Specialist and some Uber for your Kritz.Β

Always use the sheild and healing master to revive teammates and protect from projectiles.
But is it bad to use the Quick-fix?

You don't really need a faster healing if you can have crits.
