One day he would be remembered. As all sorts of things -- a friend, a soldier, a mercenary, an eco-terrorist, a cross-dresser, a survivor, a failure, a puppet, a savior of the planet... But for now, he was just a kid, dreaming of the day he would get to make his mark on the world.----
I still haven't finished my Crisis Core Cloud costume, but I felt some weird urge to pull on some overalls, a loose t-shirt, and my Cloud wig and be hick-kid!Cloud.

I also liked the Nibelheim part best. I love the Germanic elements that a lot of Japanese games incorporate in their worlds.
Your Cloud is great! He's just as I imagine him as a kid in Nibelheim. You've got the elements of lonliness, sweetness, and distance that I associate with the character.
I admire cosplayers who can fill out qualities of a character outside the basic canon/costume.

That's how I prefer to write or draw around Cloud myself. I like to keep that aspect of a character. Not much of the OOC unless it's done right.

Funness. I like Nibelheim too, mostly because I went on a vacation to a mountainy area this summer, so I have really clear images of what the area around it should look like.

Lucky you. I love Nibelheim a lot because I like to learn of what happened and the town is so peaceful. I like the Shin-Ra manor a lot too. I would love to live in a place like that

Ewww, I wouldn't. Too many creepy histories there. I swear I'd wake up to screams in the middle of the night or something. And my skin would just be crawling the whole time I was there... Ew ew ew.
