Description Another custom mask. Sekhmet, Egyptian goddess of war. I love it that the ancient Egyptians chose a female creature (lioness) for this entity...obviously, they know how dangerous a seriously-focused woman can be!

As ever, this is hand carved and hand shaped 8 ounce veg-tanned leather. It's wet-formed by hand, set with heat, and painted with Liquitex acrylics in bright gold, black and crimson.

Custom orders like this one can be commissioned at my Etsy shop: [link]

ohhhh pretty!!! Love the golden colours on the mask! ((just so you know I'm totally obese with ocean and mermaids and vaporeon and fishes. Just to make things clear about my next phrase.)) I LOVE THE NOSE!! It makes me think of a vaporeon tail even though it's not meant to... but I find it so cute I want to pinch the cheeks of your mask! ((if that was possible...))

Keeping making those amazing masks!

Such a simple design to look so beautiful! I love how you did the lining around the eyes. Gorgeous!

I like this; even though the lion is generally perceived as a masculine symbol, and the red-striped detail on the sides are reminiscent of a stylized mane, you manage to make this look kind of feminine, especially around the eyes.
