This was a birthday present for ! Yay! LOVE!

Tiny giraffe. Yes, he is short, not only was he kind short in the pattern as he's a "baby giraffe", but I totally did the wring stitch the whole way through. I realized it about halfway, but went with it as I would otherwise have to start over. This is my first attempt, so I'm not that hurt by my failure.

I've been crocheting for a while now and I was convinced that I knew what I was doing, but upon further research I realized that for some reason for this project I dropped that knowledge and substituted my own. I was mistaken that I believed a single crochet was turns out to actually by a slip stitch, and I assumed a slip stitch was actually a slip knot. But none the less, I have learned from this endeavor and I don't think it's that bad for my first time.

I forgot to measure him, I don't know how tall he is.... I'd guess about 4" tall.
