Aww...that's so cute. I agree, it would be good to see some more chocobos in the Kingdom Hearts series/franchise. (Can't tell which is it, a series or a franchise.) The only thing I saw chocobo related was the Metal Chocobo Keyblade in the first KH game.
I wonder if there would be any more interaction between Sora and Roxas in the future KH games...

Yeah they did, kind of. In KH-I, on Destiny Island. If you look inside the secret cave that has all those drawings on the wall at the end, there is a chocobo drawn on the wall (actually, I think there are two, but one is very clear what it is). I guess SE just had to do it, and actually it makes sense that they did.
