I stand my ground and say that 1) Jack made it back to the past and 2) he finds and eventually marries his childhood friend. The one he gave the origami grasshopper to.Samurai Jack has SUCH an amazing art style... Oh gosh I can't wait to try this style with Transformers tomorrow! All this time I've been absent, I've been studying art things online! I need to work on color selection and not depending on too many layers, though.

Iβd say that this is such a beautiful work! As a Jashi fan myself, I donβt know if that Jack should just end up marrying this girl that Jack has known since childhood or there should be an another way to bring back Ashi to existence after Season 5; even if it sounds a bit cliched.

Think about it, even if she should have disappeared the instant Aku was destroyed, she somehow stillΒ existed just long enough for the wedding. Due to the variation in circumstance between her and Nia, yes, it was a carbon copy (minus the part where they actually get married and there's no hard feelings over it happening).

This was pre-Ashi, before he fell in love and had it ripped away from him. Now he's never bouncing back.
It's a rather nice AU actually, a timeline where he got back without Ashi or she never existed or he forgets her because he erased her from the original timeline etc. The path not taken...

I'm sure that Ashi would want Jack to eventually move on--plus, he did tell her that were other girls in his time period, and besides being royalty (and having loads of money), Jack's also very sweet-natured, intelligent, loyal, faithful and has great physical prowess. And on another note, I would think that Jack's parents would want him to get married and have children--not just to have heirs to continue their royal lineage, but also because they really want grandkids,

My headcanon name for the Cricket Girl is "Kiyomi" (which basically means "beautiful" in Japanese).
Another headcanon I have is that she and Jack ultimately reunite after Ashi ceases to exist. Kiyomi reveals to Jack that she still has the origami he gave her when they were kids, and reveals that she can understand how it feels to lose your significant other (revealing that she was engaged to a man who was ultimately killed). After that, they start dating and eventually get married. Not long after they get married, Kiyomi becomes pregnant with her and Jack's first child, who ends up being a girl and whom Jack and Kiyomi end up naming "Ashi."
