Description I have finally finished these!
They were a lot of fun to work on; I've made several different models that you can use, including:
Doll's Hair: multiple poses included, plus hair textures that match all of the ones included in ComiPo!, as well as a few extras.
Stand alone: ponytail; side-tail left; side-tail right; twin-tails; sideburns; each including all of the above hair textures.
I've also made 2 styles of ribbon for the Doll's Hair, as well as a plain headband; it includes a ton of textures that you can use with them; including as many ComiPo! related colors that I could make.
And the last model that I've included is called the shadow layer; here's a quick briefing on how to use it:
First: make sure that you have a graphics editor; I use Corel Paint Shop Pro X2; but you should be able to use any graphics editor, like Photo Shop; Gimp is free though.
Import the Shadow_Layer.obj model into ComiPo!, along with the Doll's Hair model of choice, and equip the later on your character.
Start by copying the character in ComiPo!; deselect them, and then paste your copy (so that the copy loads directly over the original).
Next, go to: '3D Outline Settings (F9)', and set Weight to 0; that will make the outline invisible.
Next, go to: 'Change Item (F12)', and then to: 'Category: Additional Parts for Face & Body', and: 'Specifics: Head_Item1 or Head_Item2', select the Shadow-Layer model.
Export your project with the copied shadow layer character's visibility disabled; then export your project again under a different name with everything except the character with the shadow layer disabled.
Load both graphics files (should be PNG's with full transparency) into your graphics editor of choice.
You will need to have layer editing enabled, and a magic wand selection tool along with freehand selection; both with anti-alias set to outside.
With anti-alias turned off; select all on the shadow layer graphics, and copy it as a separate layer over the default project's graphics.
Layer notes: bottom layer: default graphics; upper layer: shadow layer.
Go to the magic wand, and turn anti-alias on, set to outside; also, set the tolerance to around 50%.
On the bottom layer, select the skin on the face; then switch to the freehand selection tool, and select any areas that the magic wand missed.
Switch to the shadow layer, and invert your selection (in PSP: Selections>Invert (Ctrl+Shift+I)).
Press delete on your keyboard, to delete the selection.
Set the shadow layer's options so that it loads based on the Darker layer.
With the selection tool still set to anti-alias, remove any additional parts of the layer that are getting in the way; or select the shadow color with the eyedropper tool, and color in areas that need more shadows.

I've included quite a large amount of files in this, so it's a pretty big download; if their are any files that you don't need or plan to use, just delete them.

I hope you like it! Credit is not totally necessary, but highly appreciated! ^_^
Anyway, that's all I have to say for now; it's currently 7:04 am, and I'm tired as hell. X_X

I love this hair but I'd love to have at least MQO. files format of it so I can do various custom hair. x'D

You can import OBJ into Metasequoia, I don't use it though.

Well but sadly the file .rar it was way too big to download and I'm running out of memory space xD. But do you mind to send me the only OBJ. files? I already good at using Metasequoia so textures isn't really a problem for me. ^^

princesszeldaxlink [2014-01-04 08:03:09 +0000 UTC]

Is there a way to add all the hair to the user 3D data all at once instead of having to manually add all of them?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Metalraptor In reply to princesszeldaxlink [2014-01-04 15:36:53 +0000 UTC]

Unfortunately no, ComiPo! only supports CSU format, so it has to convert the OBJ before it can be used.
The reason why I left them as OBJ is because there are too many to convert, and I wanted to leave it open for people to customize.
For an additional note, it would probably be best not to add that many models to a folder anyway, on the grounds that it would clutter the model selection screen pretty quick and lower system preformance.

Wow, this is awesome! I love how you kept the anime 2D look in 3D models ^^

I'm thinking of learning 3D for making an anime style opening video for my game but I have no idea where to start D:

Any pointers?

Thank you! ^_^
ComiPo! is a pretty interesting program, the character models are from that, so this was posed in ComiPo.
Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with animating models, the ones I make are pretty much static.
I know that some people have managed to use Miku Miku Dance to make full model animations, example .
Then there is blender, which I've never managed to figure out, but on the bright side it's free.
Some other things you might want to look at are: Anime Studio , CreaToon , Tupi , Artoonix , and Pencil ; but of the group I've only tried Anime Studio, so I'm not sure about the others.

Hi, I love your packs. I've got your eye add ons working pretty well. However, I cannot get the hair to show up. I've tried copying folders to Usermodel, etc, but they never show up. Where exactly do I need to copy the massive amount of hair folders to? I tried importing the hair model but then it doesn't align to the model properly (keeps clipping).

Thanks for any help.

Thank you! ^_^
I made a tutorial explaining how to import the hair models into ComiPo: [link]
It should cover what your talking about.
Also, I'm pretty sure that is the one doing the eye addons.

Very nice! I like it. Can it be used without the complicated shadow layer thing?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Metalraptor In reply to FJolliff [2012-11-17 08:29:19 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!
Yep; the shadow layer is a separate model, so it's totally optional. ^_^
I might make an example page of how to use it; the process is a lot simpler then my description made it sound.

As long as you have a graphics editor, then it can be used.

Nice work with those drill hair models. It would be better to include some note that when importing those hair models that both Special Setting should be unchecked like in this picture([link] ).
