Description
First big artwork I've done in awhile that I actually really like. Inspired by a scene in "The Dream Hunters" written by Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano.Beautiful graphic novel. Such gorgeous watercolors..
Hope this makes up a little for appearing so little on here guys - life is hectic.
In news about this pic though - it's going to appear in my highschool's new Multimedia Arts Blog/Magazine, "Pawprints". I'm an editor for it. ^_^
I'll have to post a link up once we release the issue.
A mix of traditional (colored pencil, marker) and digital (darkening, black airbrush) techiniques.

That's a pretty interesting concept there, except if you could use a thing or two about warm colors to make the art more striking.

Okay, so it took me some time to figure out what this was, but I like it. (It's a fox, or a dog or something, correct?)

My advice? Cut of an ear and go live in the south of France, you almost couldn't get any closer to van Gogh. I love this. Expressionistic would be the right word to use here, I think. If it weren't made digitally, I'd be asking you how much I'd have to pay you to ship it to my house, so I could hang it in my room.
Too bad it's digital though, it means that I'm not the only one with the original.

Actually, it is traditional. The only digital touches are darkening the scan a bit and adding a tinge more black. XD My mom has the original. (Mother's Day gift.)

He's not that classical though, he's about 200 or 250 years old I think.
Ah well, depends on what you call old. A book of 30 years is already called old and a song of 20 years usually is called a classic.

Haha, thanks! I'm not that good though. I need to improve a lot more! 
I should make a background challenge - like, you know those 'song' or 'theme' challenges people have, excpet with scenes.
Come to think of it, that would help a lot of people get experience. =O What do you think?
