"Go on, say it to my face..."Woah-oh, we've got a scary here! Marth seems very displeased...!
Anywho, more FE art, eh? I'll draw whatever comes to my mind, so don't mind me. ( ' 3');
So, about that outta-context enchwee~ I saw Marth and his lovely goodness in that upcoming FEif game. And despite the excessive waifu-animu overload, I'm starting to get slightly more interested in getting it-- mayhaps.
I totally decided to draw this random shot of an awfully serious Marth because of one specific moment where Kamui, our newest lord-n-lady (namely, the male one), getting his fair shot at our bishie prince.
Have at him, bwehehe~
To be honest, I was totally on when Marth appeared via Amiibo business, but then kinda switched off the moment I noticed Ppl-Amie going on. But hey, promise me that I can see more of our veteran pals, and maybe even stroke their shoulder?
Then we can talk. ( * <*);
But really though? Pokemon Amie, FE style? This is gonna be one heck of a thing, hm. ( o -o);
But whatev's, bubbies. I won't rain on anybuddy's parade if the bit is mutual.
All that matters now is that I'm trying my best on getting the shading here to look nice.
I even tried fixing Marth's hair some more! ( ^ ,^);

Well, I can see how you'd see him as such-- not that I have any problem with different interpretations of my picture, by all means that is completely encouraged.
What I had intended, at least, was for Marth to look all serious at an opponent who was giving him a bad name. And maybe even telling him to "say again" that insult pointed towards him.

Did someone spit on his royal image and claims about being through plenty wars and combat? Because I really wouldn't... we're talking about a veteran that conquered wars twice, and been claimed to be one of the top fighters in Smash-tournaments... twice.
(Poor poor Kamui. That 3rd Low Dancing Blade-animation though~)
Gotta say though, not only I like Marth's displeased expression here (has some traces of his usual shyness), but there's also the white background with little wisps (of grass??) behind Marth that shines around him - which really heightens his "aura" of putting you on your place. It really has me feel it being animated on my mind just by looking at the execution~Β
On the whole "FE-Amie"-thing + much more, I just sorta want to overlook 'em due lack of interest. Gladly enough there's still plenty to choose from for veterans, so I just hope we hit some happy medium for both markets I.S tries to gear If to.Β

Yeah, people shouldn't judge a book by its cover-- just because he looks delicate doesn't mean Marth's got no grip on a blade. (Not that this was a vent-art, I literally drew it for fun. 
I had thought about leaving the background in that white glow to make it seem like the opponent that Marth cut down is looking up at him where the light appears to be, almost as though he is shadowing over them in defeat. Maybe he's also got a bit of "shyness" showing through since Marth isn't one to be excessively furious of a thing, not that it means he is incapable of being serious, right?
I'd say this pic was a pretty fun challenge to try depicting our usually soft-feeling prince into revealing that strength that people continue to overlook of him. Prove 'em wrong, eh?
That may have also been why he had those crazy-rocker teenage-years back then, trying to show people that he's not just a pushover.
But anywho, mhm. I try not to make so many things ruin my enjoyment, so aside from the excessive addition of ani-waifu love-love that I'm seeing in FEif, I am still giving the rest of it a chance.
(A~nd maybe try to snag a Marth Amiibo if luck comes my way.

Hehh! That's quite true. I think it'd be quite surprising too that he's also specialized on something most would expect to be turned to almost dance-like fighting (fencing-like swordsplay and tippers). But those wars are a commitment to go through and what with some of Marth's tragic experiences around them...
And wow, it really works then like you intended! You are really improving with these kind of things. So proud of seeing your craft evolve this way! 
Actually, that makes sense now when I remembered that headcanon of yours for Marth. Had me in fact thinking Β if he also was part of a gang that used to be "rowdy" and all. I wonder if to build around it with my own ideas...
I at least thought of this thing where Marth used to act like what you said on Arle Nadja, who would be a kindergardener but said something Marth got "burned" of because Arle saw through his facade in child-like bluntness. By the time him getting over it, he'd really try to avoid her in the "future years" - and Arle knows, teasing him about it now and then.
Speakin' which, I had Arle and Marth be "working" friends from the 90s. Has me imagine how Marth sorta is surprised but glad she's "still kicking" with her Puyo Puyo-madness still all over Japan, since some other popular Japan-only IPs from other companies lost their popularity after years passed (like Twinbee).

My, what an interesting interaction! ( o .o);
It is quite an odd thing I thought up involving Marth, but it's all thanks to his special-style in the first rendition of FE1, mixing-n-connecting with the portrayl of his childhood via the OVA-- both seemed pretty clashy in style to me, and it made me wonder how I could use this to develop Marth's background in a way.
So, being that people still judge him for his gracefulness, it appears to trace back to that thought where Marth may have took a rough-path in finding himself in his teenage years, after being teased for the same thing as a child. (As is relate-able to many people, no?)
Even the interaction with being teased by Arle as well, it can show an example of how relations between people can develop or change over time.

I think it's really fun, ooking at all the interesting bits of source material or moments that would lead us see or create more to our fave chars. But you know that too.Β
And yeah- wonder how long that took. I think it eventually lead to his shyness getting kinda controlling on him after all the hardships following after his teenage years.
Also, yep - I think because knowing both characters being really sweethearts despite their "early" demeanors, getting to know more about each other can clear first impressions of the past fairly quick and start something new. Happened to me now and then with some people I saw in early grades, though one was bit an embarrassing type of a one...

Oh yes, of course! It also makes for nice examples that people could almost look to, instead of just using these trivias to make more memes-- jokes are fine n'all, but that's not all we can do with a source material, right?
The way it seems from then to now, it almost sounded like Marth went through a full circle on that confidence-building. As in my fanpictions, he meets Celice around his "rebellious" years and he helped him learn that you don't need to fake a tough-persona to be accepted. And yet entering Smash and whatnot, it kinda started all over again-- except Marth didn't retract back to that persona again.
Nevertheless, it seems that being around more and more nice individuals in the Smash program got Marth to slowly learn to open up better. Like, say, from Peach and her trying to drag him outta his moody-thing, as an example. It was intended as a friendly invitation for the better of him, and I'm he understood that over time too.
Quite a change this could turn out to be if looked at in such a fan-spective.

Quite - but to be frank, I think it's fine. They enjoy their own portrayals and fanons as much as we do ours, right? We all have different ways, and sometimes us "deep thinkers" could use playing around now and then to unwind and relax, aside from contributing to the thing we would enjoy seeing.
And yeah, that actually has me have quite heavy feels when looking back! Maybe because when seeing it all over there, it sorta has me feel rekindled on what I want some crossover interactions to do - possibly give something that might not be otherwise attainable on person's own world.
(Also heh, you included my little headcanon there~)
And it quite would be, really! Such is the gift of the dearly dedication. I think with how these characters and things they go through are also in such a fantasy-themed times when compared to our lives, it really makes them all more precious and even magical to feel into us that way.

Oh, absolutely, I didn't mean to make it seem like people can't have their own takes of things-- as serious or non-serious as they are. That's what a fandom should be all about, at least ideally. People will always be disagreeing about something, what can we do?

Yay~ I mean really, I believe that a lot Smash-fans seem to forcedly put down any ideas of Marth and Peach being paired as anything because they seem "generic" and very clashing on most same-sex pairs in Smash-fandom overall. Such a shame though because I honestly think they would be sweetest friends! Not to mention compliment each other's temperaments and quirks pretty well.
Also in the same vein I had Zelda and Ike be "unlikely allies" because both's character really clash with each other to humorous results - Zelda having to look after the "big bloke" while being up-tight and sort of nagging while Ike honestly wishes that she'd leave him alone but can't help doing this his usual hard-headed way, which sets Zelda off even more.
Anyway, I was browsing my Marth-tag in Tumblr until coming across theΒ pictures from his Melee Dojo!!-page. I just realized that Marth used to look really cold and glaring. Contributing also really well to my impressions of him being a very, VERY tomboy/masculine cold woman when seeing him first time.
Probably looks like he wanted to still hide protectively behind his old facade in order to not get close with other people after losing friends from the past. I guess this is where Roy would help him come out of his shell in such a place where he meets no familiar.
Also it's kinda like he's got that still in this pic, since I was reminded of it when seeing those pics.

Honestly, I can pair them just lovely-fine as good friends, how is that wrong?
And oh yes, it does make a whole lotta sense when you look at it that way. It even works in my case since Marth seemed so uber-distant from others prior to us seeing him open up a little in Smash 4. It just took a very long time for our prince to realize that, not that there's anything wrong with taking time to do so. It's development in a natural way.
In fact, we could say that Marth may use that toughen-persona he tried building to his advantage, learning to use it as a strength than a mask to hide weakness. Thus, being able to express such a serious gaze in battle and trying not to falter, despite his distaste for intense bloodshed. ( ;' ,');

I kinda get the feeling it's gonna help you get supports. I highly doubt that they would put a feature like that and make it useless. Maybe it's like in Pokemon and each unit that you rub (ew) gets more exp or gets even more stats when you pair them up with someone.
As weird as it may be it's most likely going to be very usefull. In that case we're just gonna have to suck it up.

But he should've also known that Marth's blade, the Falchion, is a bane to all dragons-- in other words, within his game, it is "super-effective" against dragon units. I wonder if Kamui would've stood a chance, maybe keep his distance?

True. Besides the game has two sides and for all we know the face rubbing might be Hoshido-only. That being said I'd probaly go for Hoshido anyways, because it seems to be more colorful.

Um~ I saw that you could add some items onto character models, that could be an addition where we could customize our units-- maybe the items are buffs, who knows? But I don't speak Japanese well enough, or at all really, to get if that's what it is.
Unless you mean a customizable unit like Chris and Robin? Then Kamui is your person, the main character is you.
We'll just have to see in the meantime. I know if anything neat like that comes up, I'd be sure to ring a bell to tell.
