Description
You opened the door to your flat, your heavy bags banging against the doorframe as you stumbled in. You kicked the door closed and dropped the bags on the floor. Then, stifling a yawn, you stepped out of your shoes and into your fluffy slippers. With your eyes closed you shuffled towards the couch, walking into the back of the couch and leaning forward so your head was in the pillows.

Steve, your boyfriend of 2 months walked out of the bathroom, "Hey ______, had a good day?"

"Bite me..." Your voice was muffled by the cushions. Steve was silent, then you realised what you said. Your head shot up from the couch and you ran towards him, "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!!! I've...not had the best of days..."

Steve smiled sympathetically, "It's okay, honey. Just relax, I'll make you a drink."

You smiled back in relief and flopped onto the couch. Steve pulled out some mugs and clicked the kettle on. Closing your eyes, you relaxed, listening to the homely sounds. But not for long...

A sharp pain flickered along your shoulders, making you groan and move to a different position. Not 10 seconds later, a throbbing ache skittered along your shoulders and you moved again, hoping you could get comfortable.

But no.

You'd had a rough day, your boss yelled at everyone including you, you had left your umbrella in your desk and a land cruiser had driven through a puddle, splattering you with mud. All you wanted to do was sit on the couch and drink tea with Steve. But of course you had to get neck tension and not be able to sit anywhere!

More pain danced across your shoulders and you groaned again, rolled over and-

" Oof!! "

-landed on the floor.

"_________?"

You lifted your head and saw Steve's patriotic American flag socks. "What..."

"Why are you on the floor?"

"My body refuses to let me get comfortable."

"Why don't you take a shower?"

"I'm too tired."

"Put your pajamas on?"

"I'm too tired."

"Take off your coat?"

"Too tired."

"...Get up?"

"Toooooo tired..."

"..."

"And my shoulders hurt."

With no warning, Steve picked you up and put you on your feet. Then he proceeded in taking off your coat and slinging it on the armchair. He sat down on the couch and pointed to the space in front of him on the floor. "Sit."

You raised an eyebrow and Steve put a cushion in the space.

You raised both eyebrows this time and Steve patted the cushion, "Please?" His big, blue eyes looked up at you and you ungraciously flopped down in front of him.

He brushed your hair over your shoulder.

"Steve what are you do-Ahhhhhhhhh...."

Steve's thumbs were pushing into the top of your back in soothing circles. He pulled down a little, easing some of the tension. Then he pushed upwards with his fingertips, from the bottom of your shoulder blades to the tops of your shoulders. He repeated this going down, then up, then down. After that, he placed his thumbs on your neck, one either side of your spine and moved them in opposite circles.

Sighs escaped your lips and a dreamy smile painted your face. Steve carried on with the circles along your whole neck, easing more of the tension with his strength.

"Is that helping?" Steve pulled on your shoulders, bringing them backwards and straightening out your back.

"Ahhhh!!!!" You sighed loudly whilst your back clicked a few times.

Steve chuckled, "I take that as a yes."

"If I was a cat...I'd be purring right now..."

Steve chuckled again.

As the sky outside turned dark, Steve continued his therapeutic massages and you were leaning against his knees, your eyes closed.

"_____ do you feel better?"

Silence.

"_____?"

Steve pushed back your hair to see your closed eyes and your chest rising and falling slowly. He smiled and shifted in his chair, taking a sip of another cup of tea.

"I didn't say stop."

Steve jumped slightly, almost choking, "H-Huh?"

You turned your head to look at him with your _____ eyes. "I didn't say stop massaging."

Steve shook his head jokingly and returned his hands to your back.

"How are you feeling now?"

"....Purring.....How are you so good at this?"

"It's my superhuman strength...." You could almost hear the smile in his voice.

"Didn't realise I was talking to Tony," You chuckled.

"It's true though. that and I am just amazing."

"....Well...now you can be my personal masseuse."

"...."

"Steve Rogers, The First Avenger...And finest masseuse from here to Texas."

"...."

"What? It's...catchy?"

"....."

"....Meow?"
