I am not American! so maybe I do not have so many pre-conceptions about countries! Besides people think here (Northern Ireland) is unsafe to visit!

haha very true, although preconceptions about the civil war in the neighboring country might be forgiven, just 10km south of this site is the largest Syrian refugee camp in Jordan :I

You never quite know what's around the corner. There's always beauty close to shit. How poetic of me

This is excellent - and I don't think it's just the camera that makes the difference from the older one

Beautiful shot: love the colours and the contrast between the light, soft, clear sky and the crumbled ruins; it's like some statement of the temporality of man and his achievements against the eternal sky or something similar!

Thank you, I like your opinion on the subject, most of my works have subtle undertones of human legacy and how time and nature ravages it away, that's one of the reasons why I dislike shooting people or actually involving them in my shoots, because in the context of human architectural/cultural history and individual is comparative to the a blink of an eye.

i think i might have talked about this to you before?

Thank you very much! im not sure what it was that made the difference maybe the camera, maybe the photshop skills, maybe just the time of day! im still really happy with it!

you mentioned in one of your pictures that it broke? what happened?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

slickdj3 In reply to Mgsblade [2010-01-19 12:42:34 +0000 UTC]

Was shooting in a sand storm to catch the color and effect and basically completely clogged the camera body and lens. I am getting it shipped to me here in Baghadad....should have it in 15 days or so.

what a difference the speckled sky makes in this shot. I agree with Yoshimetal, enhancing the vibrancy would be great.
