A montage of several oil paintings I did back in the school days in an intro to painting class. All oil on canvas boards.It was the first and only painting class I took, and that's when I really started to work on colour. Before this, my colouring looked muddy and shxt eventhough I could already use photoshop.
The central piece was for my final, based on a scene I set on the floor of my own room using whatever I could find in the kitchen. Since my room was nowhere near the prorperly ventilated studio space, by the end of the painting I was feeling very sick. My room smelled funny of the turp, and the floor was all messed up with paints, which annoyed my landlady quite a bit (I rent a room in someone's home). So I never painted in my room again.

Ahhhh, painting class, how I miss you..... This brings back fond memories of being squished in a room with 30 + people, all trying to paint an apple on a cardboard box.

Mine are totally different - and generally they look like a colorless mud :\ I just couldn't cope with oils, because they dry so slow and a smell of terpentine always gave me a headache after a while.
That's why I switched to acrylics - these, however, dry too fast

wow excellent work with light and shadow, I especially enjoy the shine in the glass, thats quite hard to make the different shiny glass-feeling, and then as a contrast- the texture of fruit and different food...
