Description MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING!!!

After saving theΒ PokΓ©mon World and returning to her own world, Nova decides to finally bring her criminal family down for good. With some unexpected assistance from the Ranger Union, Nova is successfully able to apprehend her mobster father and was able to bring the Belladonna Family to justice. However, among those who have been arrested was a young man not too much older than Nova named Kingsley. To her surprise, he's the son of the head of the Belladonna Family. Her half-brother! When learning of his identity, Nova asks for permission to be the one to interrogate him. She had seen him during the raid and how anxious he has been throughout all this. Despite his intimidating appearance, Kingsley didn't seem like he was actually with the Belladonna Family. He wouldn't even help his father when Nova attacked him, instead cowering in a corner. Thinking back on it, she remembered hearing her father shouting and hitting someone before she burst in to take him down. When she did finally notice him, he looked rather roughed up. Even now, sitting in the interrogation room, he was still bit beaten up and scared. Their father must have gotten mad at him for something and taken his anger out on him. Nova couldn't help but see a bit of herself in him as she stared at him. Professor Hastings, seeing the resolve in her eyes, allows her to speak to him.

In the interrogation room, Nova puts up a strong facade. However, the moment he sees her, Kingsley stands up so suddenly that he accidentally knocks his chair over and has an expression like he just saw a ghost. She's a bit taken aback by his reaction to her, but quickly regains her composure and makes him sit back down before taking her seat across from him. She begins asking him questions about his involvement with the Belladonna Family and get him to spill any activities he was aware of of their crimes. Kingsley struggled to speak, clearly nervous to go against his father out of fear of what his father might do if he were to expose his father's immoral business. Nova could understand how scared he must have been. Even without having met her father for most of her life, she was well aware of how terrifying their father could be. Just his mere existence was enough to paint a target on your back if you ever dared to cross him, whether from his own men or even ordinary people who were simply aware of his power. But, despite the overwhelming fear Kingsley must have had of their father, Nova could tell that he was also distracted by something else that didn't involve his father. Realizing she wasn't going to get any answers out of him at this rate, she softly yet firmly asked him what was bothering him so much that he couldn't focus. She was not prepared for what he would tell her.

Kingsley admitted that he was still taken aback by Nova. Until he finally saw her properly when she entered the interrogation room, his vision too blurred at the time of the raid from his injuries from his father, he thought she was someone else for a bit. Although, after taking a better look at her, he quickly realized his mistake. Yet he couldn't shake the sense of familiarity he felt towards her. She got a strange feeling about who he might have been talking about and asked him to clarify. Although he was hesitant as he did not wish for the person in question to get involved, he finally told Nova who he meant after Nova assured him that unless there was undoubtable cause for concern nothing would happen to them. Kingsley tells Nova about this kind woman who used to be in a relationship with his father and had been like a mother to him, showing him more love and care than even his own family. He quickly affirms that she was NOT a bad person and hadn't realized what a terrible person his father was until it was too late and had left that life behind years ago. Her suspicions raised, Nova asked him to clarify how many years ago. Kingsley says it was about 17 years ago. She knows the significance of that date. Nova asks him if the woman he's talking about was named Summer, startling Kingsley greatly. He immediately demands to know how she knows that and if anything happened to her that would alert the Rangers to their radar. Nova reassures him that it was nothing like that and that she actually knew Summer and was the reason she was so determined to bring the Belladonna Family to justice. He asks her if Summer is okay to which Nova sadly explains to him that she had passed away a few years ago when she fell sick due to immense stress when people found out she was connected to the Belladonna Family. Kingsley is devastated when he learns of Summer's fate and even began to hyperventilate. Without a second thought, Nova quickly moved to try to calm him down as she realized how devastated he must have felt to suddenly have something like that dropped on him, especially after he just spoke so highly of Summer.

Through his gasping, Kingsley tries to ask Nova something as she seemed highly familiar with Summer's situation. Nova tried to get him to focus on his breathing, but he kept trying to make the words come out. Finally, he managed to calm down enough to get his question across, asking if Summer's child was okay. Nova was shocked that he knew about this, believing her mother had left her former life behind without alerting anyone that she had been pregnant. Kingsley explained that he was the only one Summer told of her pregnancy when she left after a slip of the tongue and had actually helped her to escape his father to protect both Summer and his unborn sibling. Summer desperately wanted to take him with her so that he could grow up away from his father's influence, but at the last moment he had to stay behind to allow her to escape while she still had a chance. He was overcome with worry of what might have happened to his sibling after Summer's death, not realizing that Nova was his sister. Upon hearing the truth of how Summer escaped, Nova instinctively hugged Kingsley with tears in her eyes, thanking him for saving her and her mother all those years ago and apologized that he had to suffer so they could be free. He was shocked to learn that the ranger who had arrested his father and with him now was none other than his sister. The two just embrace each other for a while as they let everything soak in of what they had just learned from each other. After finally taking the time they both needed to process everything and calm themselves, Kingsley promises to expose all of their father's crimes and make him pay for what he did to their mother.

(While the idea of Nova having an older half-brother was a bit of a sudden plot twist I came up with, I'm really loving it and it really adds to Nova's character in a great way. There's still a lot for me to figure out about Kingsley, but I'm liking how he's coming together so far. He really does add a significant impact Nova's story and how she achieves closure from her old life. Putting together this scene when the two long-lost siblings finally reunite and make a pact to make their father pay for his crimes was a great way to bring about the end to Nova's story with her criminal family. I hope you guys enjoyed this, too!)
