Personality: Perhaps the first most noticeable trait about her would be arrogance; about her beliefs, alliances, heritage, and herself. Being a very shrewd woman means she is both intuitive and quite clever, however this also comes with the side-effect of sarcastic. She’s short-fused when it comes to her temper, a slave to her emotions, and extraordinarily tenacious.

Abilities: As a Shinryu, her innate abilities lie within the sky.
Levitation, creating rain, water, and wind as well as manipulating existing water and wind. ( The creation of water that is not rain is by condensing the water molecules in the air.)

When in her dragonic form, her coloration lets her blend in with the sky and make her difficult to see.

Skills: Basic hand-to-hand knowledge; training with the use of a a tanto; expert in poisons, antidotes and all sorts of potions.

Weaponry: An enchanted silk fold-up fan she uses to amplify her wind; tanto and kanzashi ( poisonous hairpins only effective on humans ); and her claws.

Weaknesses and Flaws: Wounds inflicted by an iron weapon are especially dangerous for her, as iron is poisonous to her kind; Easily angered and offended by humans; Sometimes blinded by her pride;

History:

In the early days of Kikuya’s life, she was a much more benevolent spirit. The world was a peaceful place, and her life tranquil. Her family had been a well-respected Shinryu and regarded in the surrounding villages as very important entities that brought good weather for their crops. At the top of the mountain there was a shrine dedicated to the spirit-dragon family that inhabited the land, where people would pray for luck, rain, and plentiful harvests.

Growing up, Kikuya’s mother always warned her young daughter never to approach a human, for even with good intentions, they were still dangerous. Her older brother by one-hundred years kept a watchful eye to make certain her curiosity didn’t put her in harm’s way. Kind-hearted Ranmaru and Kikuya were extraordinarily close during her childhood, as he taught her all he knew. The two siblings were inseparable. All was well.
Everything changed when violence between the villages that revered them and others from outlying settlements began. Her parents remained neutral to it, though when their shrine was destroyed, Ranmaru interfered to put a stop to it. This resulted in the brutal death of her brother. While the adolescent dragoness had been deeply wounded and outraged by his loss at human hands, still, her mother and father refused to do anything. They assured her that it wouldn’t have happened if Ranmaru had not intervened and stayed out of the affairs of human beings. Kikuya did not agree with their logic, and refused to stay out of it like she was told to. She distanced herself from her remaining family and forsook them for not sharing her anger and blaming her brother for his death. After that, the embittered shinryu vowed to never to return to her home mountain overlooking the valleys.

Eventually she aligned herself with the deity and Daimyo, Seiryuu, against the humans and all others that did not follow him. Her belief grew more and more firm over the centuries that humans should be eradicated like a pestilence, and other youkai were lesser if they obeyed another Feudal Lord.

Her once warm, golden heart had become icy and impenetrable. Kikuya sacrificed happiness for safety, keeping herself guarded from letting anyone get too close to her, leading a lonely life. Now she lives for her beliefs, and her loyalty in Seiryuu and will fight fiercely for them.

Is short, standing only at 5’1 ( 154 cm )

Favorite colors are: pink, blues, and purple.

Prefers the fall season because that month receives the most precipitation.

Is named after the Chrysanthemum flower.

Has a fondness for koi ponds.

A great cook, but refuses to wait hand and foot on any male.
